Description

The different treatment methods will be presented as well as the associated processes (physico-chemical, biological, free culture, fixed culture). The biological treatment of effluents, the elimination of organic carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus will be discussed. The principles of sizing processes and systems will also be discussed. The course will follow the following outline:

  1. Effluent characterization and treatment principle
  2. Which treatment method to choose according to the constraints
  3. Pre-treatment sizing
  4. Sizing of secondary treatments
  5. Sizing of tertiary treatments
