Description

The areas covered are:

- Sources and consequences of chemical pollution of natural waters.

- Chemical criteria for assessing pollutants: COD, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, Kjedahl nitrogen, total phosphorus....

- Chemical treatments (purification by chemical oxidation, coagulation, flocculation) and physico-chemical treatments (membranes, activated carbons...),

- Specific treatments: ion exchange resins, solvent extraction, electrochemical methods.
