Objectives

  • Mobilize the skills acquired in various fields of mechanics and/or mechanical technology,
  • Make an effort in writing and oral presentation,
  • Put a mechanical system into context and position it among equivalent solutions (state of the art).
  • Create a technical file (overview and definition drawings, technical specifications, assembly diagram, dimensions),
  • Establish a functional analysis of the system (interactor diagram, characterization of functions and interactors, FAST),
  • Check the dimensions of standard components, dimension a specific part, and/or optimize/check the choice of material for a part.
  • Measure the mechanical properties of the system (input-output law in terms of speed or force) or of a part of the system (mechanical strength, rigidity, etc.).
