PPE in Mathematics

This course will allow students to discover the various careers in mathematics through presentations of job opportunities, thematic conferences and round tables.

For students who benefit from a pre-professionalization contract, the UE accompanies their activity in the institution, by bringing some elements intended to enrich their observation and to give them some distance. It is also a question of preparing the written work that they will have to submit.

Meeting with executives working in the field of applied sciences (industries, research organizations), teachers of several different levels, former graduates in order to discover the different jobs in mathematics

Recommended prerequisites: L1 math

For students who have a pre-professionalization contract, written work based on an observation grid: analysis of a teaching session.

For the rest of the students, poster on a job that interests them by group with a prize for the best. Oral presentation and questions before a jury.

Hourly volume: about 40 hours of personal work
