Description

This course provides skills in computer-aided design and mechanism simulation.

In CAD, aspects such as part mode (3D design of a mechanical part), assembly mode (design of a mechanism), drawing of parts or overall drawings will be covered.

The kinematic and dynamic behavior of rigid solid mechanisms will be simulated using CAD/CAM software.

Objectives

From Solidworks software and its complement Solidworks Motion :

  • Using basic functions for 3D part modeling ;
  • Create an assembly using CREO Parametric software;
  • Drawing a plan ;
  • Use advanced functions to create complex 3D parts and assemblies;
  • Define the links between the different parts of a mechanism;
  • Defines elastic and/or viscous bonds;
  • Defining external loads on a mechanism ;
  • Define interference and/or contact between parts of a mechanism;
  • Set the mechanism in motion with a servo motor and launch a dynamic study;

Extract information from the study, such as positions, speeds and forces in a link,
