Presentation
The Master's degree trains lawyers specializing in public business law, particularly in the law of public contracts and public-private partnerships.
The first year of the Master's program enables students to master the basics of public business law while perfecting their training in general public law.
Studies are organized into 2 successive semesters, for a total of more than 500 hours of teaching, divided between theoretical courses taught in principle by university lecturers (40%) and study direction provided by recognized professional practitioners (60%). A compulsory internship or apprenticeship contract completes the training and ensures effective professional integration.
Objectives
Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of public business law, in particular the law and practice of public contracts and public procurement
Manage public procurement contracts from inception to completion
Ability to conduct in-depth legal research in public business law, advise on and manage litigation
Know-how and skills
- Mastery of the legal aspects of public business law: public property, public contracting, competition law, criminal law, financing, taxation, urban planning and development
- Mastery of the legal aspects of public contracts: awarding, performance, controls, litigation, liability, European law
- Mastery of contractual techniques and structures: public and partnership contracts, service concessions, works concessions, development concessions, state contracts and administrative leases
- Expertise in administrative litigation and contractual litigation in particular
- Handling public procurement management software
- Discover public purchasing and negotiation
- Legal English
- Application of know-how in business or public structures
