Description
The objective of this module is to practice numerical simulation tools (finite element or mechanism simulation software) while insisting on their limits, through case studies on: HPP isotropic elasticity, modal analysis, mechanism simulation, topological optimization, thermal and thermomechanical analysis,...). In most of the examples treated, we will try to show the interest of experimentation, both to feed the models upstream and to validate them downstream.
Objectives
Know how to use an industrial calculation software
Know how to build a numerical model of mechanisms of non-deformable parts
Know how to build a numerical model of isotropic elastic deformable structures in HPP
Know how to build a numerical thermal and thermomechanical model
Know how to build a topological optimization study
Know how to build a modal analysis study
Show the interest and the limits of a numerical model
To show the importance of experimentation, both to feed the model and to validate it
