"Modeling and Simulation" Project

Description*: A project carried out in a research laboratory or in connection with an industrial problem, during which the student, either individually or in a group, must engage with the problem proposed by the research team and use the modeling and computational tools acquired during their training to solve it and propose a solution. The student must present a written and oral report on their approach and the results obtained.

• Being able to understand and take ownership of an issue
• Be able to apply the computational and modeling tools acquired during one's training to the problem at hand
• Be able to present the process that was carried out both orally and in writing

Mechanical Calculation and Modeling Tools

• A "draft" grade is assigned
• A report of about ten pages written at the conclusion of the project
• 15-minute oral defense + 5 minutes of questions

The final grade is the average of 3 grades: coursework, report, and oral defense
