Description
This course is the first in the “bio” section of the biomechanics curriculum. It is intended for students with a background in mechanical engineering. Its purpose is to provide students with a basic understanding of health and biology, enabling them to better grasp future biomechanics courses and projects.
Objectives
The objective of this course unit is to provide students in the program with a basic understanding of health and biology. To this end, the course will review fundamental concepts in human anatomy, physiology, cell biology, and surgical techniques. It is planned that some of these lessons will be taught by healthcare professionals (doctors, physical therapists, orthodontists, etc.).
