Description
This teaching unit is the first in the "bio" section of the biomechanics course. It is aimed at students with a background in mechanical engineering. Its purpose is to provide students with a basic understanding of health and biology, enabling them to better understand future biomechanics courses and projects.
Objectives
The aim of this course unit is to provide students on the program with a basic understanding of health and biology. To this end, it will cover the fundamentals of human anatomy, physiology, cell biology, and surgical techniques. Some of the teaching will be provided by healthcare professionals (doctors, physical therapists, orthodontists, etc.).
