Description
This teaching unit aims to enable students to reinvest and deepen certain theoretical and methodological elements in didactics, mediation, or the history and epistemology of science. The aim is to develop a research project on a theme and issue defined by the student with the help of a supervisor from the teaching team. This work can be seen as a continuation of the work to be carried out for the Master's thesis in the second year. It aims to provide an introduction to research.
Objectives
Students develop a research topic based on initial questions and bibliographic sources. They identify one or more specific research questions and plan the work to be carried out in the second semester.
- Be able to search for articles and compile a relevant bibliography on a given topic.
-
Be able to define a topic and specific questions, compile a sufficiently detailed bibliography, and identify issues that will enable the implementation of a well-defined research project within a limited time frame.
-
Develop an appropriate methodology in the field of science education that enables the analysis of teaching or mediation situations (mathematics, physics and chemistry, life and earth sciences), whether or not related to the history and epistemology of science (work on sources, archives, etc.).
-
Be able to report on your work in writing, defend it orally, and take a critical look at it.
