Presentation
Delivered at the IUT of Nîmes, the training takes into account the evolution of the professions of technical control, construction expertise, project management assistance (AMO) and diagnosis. It integrates broad knowledge of technical construction regulations in all trades (structure, work and technical equipment).
The CEB course is carried out in partnership with the Lycée de la Salle in Alès.
Objectives
To train senior technicians capable of knowing and mastering the techniques used in the building industry, of knowing the various laws and regulations related to building construction in order to be able to situate each case within a legal framework, of mastering the tools of written and oral communication with a view to presenting expert reports, and of programming and organizing procedures for intervention on site or on the construction site in consultation with the project owners, private clients, etc.
Know-how and skills
The skills acquired during the training are:
- Analyze building structures,
- Estimate the cost of the work,
- Write and present a case using electronic means of communication,
- Manage resources by reducing the impact of the work on the environment,
- Understand the mechanisms of insurance and risk,
- Analyze a project in light of the regulations in force,
- Check all or part of a structure and/or its equipment,
- Analyze and understand a new process and transfer the know-how,
- Conduct and control remediation work by integrating environmental quality,
- To master new technologies in industrial systems linked to new "sustainable development" construction concepts,
- Proficiency in technical English.
Program
The CEB program is open to students on apprenticeship or professionalization contracts. This mode of operation implies a minimum 32-week presence in the company. These students are supported by two tutors, one of whom is a teacher and the other appointed by the company. The two tutors work together to lead the student to a diploma and a job.
The duration of the training in the center is 500 hours.
Admission is only definitive once an apprenticeship (or professionalization) contract has been signed with a company in one of the sectors targeted by the training (building control, building expertise, project management assistance).
The training includes a tutored project, carried out in the training center, lasting a total of 150 hours, which gives rise to a written report and an oral defense.

Assessment of knowledge: The course provides for continuous assessment of knowledge, the writing of a thesis and a defense before a jury composed of teachers and professionals involved in the course.
Admission
Target audience
The recruitment is carried out :
- BTS building, study and economics of construction, building envelopes, fluids, energy and environment, electrical engineering,
- DUT Civil engineering building, civil engineering building equipment, thermal engineering, electronic engineering and industrial computing option electrical engineering,
- L2 in science or technology,
- 1st year special Civil Engineering (case by case examination).
