Presentation
The Electricity and Energy professions professional license, CAIEE (Chargé d'Affaire en Ingénierie Électrique et Électronique), located on the Montpellier IUT site, is open only to professional contracts, in partnership with AFPI. It enables students to acquire professional experience, validated by a national diploma, and to be as close as possible to the needs of industrial companies.
Objectives
On completion of the course, graduates will be able to:
- analyze the needs of internal or external customers, and study the feasibility of the request.
- manage and process information.
- communicate and dialogue with company departments and suppliers.
- carry out comparative analyses in order to justify a choice, and propose action plans to the customer and his/her line manager.
For companies in the metallurgy sector, the learner can also apply for the Certificat de Qualification Paritaire de la Métallurgie, "Assistant Conduite de Projets Industriels", CQPM n°0142.

1. High and low voltage electrical distribution:
- mastering the organization of electrical power transmission and distribution

Program
Start date: September/October
Duration: 12 months
Number of training hours: 441 h
On average, 3 weeks are spent in the company and 1 week in training at AFPI Languedoc Roussillon in Montpellier or IUT GEII in Montpellier.
Validation of the diploma leads to 60 European Credits (ECTS).

Registration for a Licence Professionnelle at the IUT consists of 3 stages. Each stage must be validated before moving on to the next:
Step 1 - Acceptance of the application :
- Hold a Bac +2 or equivalent*.
- Complete file.
Stage 2 - Eligibility Admissibility: Decided by a pedagogical committee after examination of the application (Curriculum Vitae, Letter of Motivation, Transcript of grades... details on e-candidat). Subject to certain conditions, the committee may request additional documents.
Step 3 - Final admission Final admission: Subject to the signature of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professionalization contract) within a company with assignments in line with the LPro theme, within the limits of available training places.

The aim of the professional license is to ensure rapid integration into working life, rather than further study.
Professional integration
After the bachelor's degree:
Graduates' professional integration rate is close to 90% within 6 months over the last 4 graduating classes.
