Presentation
The professional degree in Electricity and Energy, Business Manager in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (CAIEE), located on the site of the IUT of Montpellier, is only open to professional contracts in partnership with the AFPI. It enables students to acquire professional experience validated by a national diploma and to be as close as possible to the needs of industrial companies.
Objectives
At the end of the course, the graduate will be able to:
- analyse the needs of the internal or external customer and study the feasibility of the request.
- manage and process information.
- communicate and dialogue with the company's departments and suppliers.
- carry out comparative analyses with a view to arguing a choice, propose action plans to the client and his/her line manager.
For companies in the metal industry, it is possible to introduce the learner to the Joint Qualification Certificate for the Metal Industry, "Assistant Industrial Project Manager", CQPM n°0142.
Know-how and skills
1. High and low voltage electrical distribution:
- control of the organisation of the transport and distribution of electrical energy
- knowledge and mastery of cable calculation in industrial electricity
2. Technical expertise and methodology

Start date: September/October
Duration: 12 months
Number of training hours: 441 h
On average, there are 3 weeks of work experience and 1 week of training at the AFPI Languedoc Roussillon in Montpellier or at the IUT GEII in Montpellier.
Validation of the diploma leads to 60 European Credits (ECTS).

Suitable profiles: Young people under 26 years of age with a technical baccalaureate with a base in electrical and electronic engineering. People over 26 years old under special conditions.
