This degree trains professionals to coordinate activities and develop and implement projects in public or private institutions under contract, as well as programs and services related to early childhood, childhood, or youth, within the framework of the overall project of the community concerned, in collaboration with institutional or associative partners.


Depending on the initial training and professional experience acquired, supplemented by the courses, internships, and projects completed as part of the CSAPE Professional Bachelor's Degree, graduates will be able to work in facilities dedicated to childcare and/or leisure activities for young children (only holders of an EJE or childcare worker diploma are eligible, according to regulations, to manage a childcare facility).

Objectives

This degree aims to train early childhood professionals in order to:
Improve coordination and dialogue between different early childhood professionals by creating a common training ground.
Create a common culture among early childhood professionals, whether they come from the National Education System, the social sector, or the health sector, while preserving the specificity of their missions.
Develop new modes of intervention based on this common culture.
Encourage the emergence of innovative projects in the field of early childhood care.


This training program draws on the existing diversity of early childhood professions in order to forge a common professional identity for early childhood care and to enhance the professionalism of individual care through flexible options and synergies with group care.


The training is provided by multidisciplinary teams including academics and professionals: members of local authorities, association leaders, social workers, child psychiatrists, psychologists, etc.

Know-how and skills

Understanding the specific characteristics of children aged 0 to 6: their needs, rhythms, and development (physical, emotional, cognitive, and social).


Understanding parenthood: sociological issues and developments, parenting support, assistance for families in difficulty, etc.

Welcoming children into the city: supporting innovative initiatives and projects, offering fun, artistic activities based on hands-on learning and experimentation (in connection with local resources), language as a factor in socialization and development support, avoiding overstimulation, embracing interculturalism.


Know all the players involved: promote transitions and specific care if necessary.


Be aware of public policies and needs identified locally and nationally in order to guide your actions.


Work on the fundamental concepts of public service: secularism, gender equality, acceptance of others.


Being able to offer specific care for children with special needs (principle of inclusion).


Build on existing experiences and the expertise of professionals.

Admission requirements


Open to students with a two-year post-secondary degree (Bac + 2) in their third year of undergraduate studies (L3).
Initial training: based on application for students with a minimum of two years of post-secondary education (Bac + 2) in health and social services (EJE, ES, ASS, CESF, ETS, DUT Carrières sociales, BTS SP3S,
BTS ESF, etc.).
In continuing education: based on application for working individuals with a Bac + 2 or higher (
) who have validated their experience in the early childhood sector.
