Objectives

The program prepares students for positions as assistant engineers (mid-level management personnel with a bachelor's degree) in industrial maintenance. Industrial maintenance managers must demonstrate technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
In order to improve intervention procedures, they define rules of action and ensure that they are followed by company staff and subcontractors.
They must be able to:
• Analyze equipment operating and maintenance conditions (reliability, maintainability, availability, safety).
• Define maintenance methods or organizations adapted to a given context.
• Lead an improvement initiative related to the maintenance function.
• Monitor the economic aspects of maintenance activities.
• Lead a meeting to follow up on activities related to the maintenance function.
• Report on maintenance activities to the manager.

Start: October
Duration: 12 months.
441 hours, delivered in the form of lectures, tutorials, and practical work.
The work-study program averages three weeks in a company and one week of training at AFPI Languedoc-Roussillon in Baillargues and/or at the Montpellier University Institute of Technology.
The diploma is worth 60 European credits (ECTS). The subjects studied include:

Admission requirements

Enrollment in a Professional Bachelor's Degree program at the IUT consists of three steps. Each step must be validated in order to proceed to the next one:

Step 1 – Admissibility of the application:

  • Hold a two-year college degree or be currently enrolled*.
  • Complete file.

Step 2 – Eligibility : Determined by an educational committee after reviewing the application (resume, cover letter, transcript, etc. – details on e-candidat). The committee may request additional documents for the application.

Step 3 – Final admission: Subject to the signing of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professional training contract) with a company offering assignments in line with the LPro program, subject to availability.
