Presentation
The Maintenance of Industrial, Production and Energy Systems professional license, with a specialization in Industrial Systems Organization and Safety (OSSI), located at the Montpellier IUT, is open only to professional contracts, in partnership with AFPI. It enables students to acquire professional experience and operational skills tailored to the needs of industrial companies. This course is supported by the UIMM (Union des Industries et des Métiers de la Métallurgie).

This Licence Pro is positioned in the world of professional certification. It leads to the award of a Certificat de Qualification Paritaire de la Métallurgie (CQPM), entitled "Chargé de Maintenance Industrielle" and n° MQ 2003 03 69 0223. It is issued by the UIMM (Union des industries et métiers de la métallurgie), and includes validation of 6 professional skills.
Objectives
This course prepares students to work as engineering assistants (middle management staff with 3 years' higher education) in charge of industrial maintenance. The graduate's skills will be appreciated in companies with production activities in fields such as energy, agri-food and goods production, and with or wishing to develop a maintenance department.
Know-how and skills
The industrial maintenance manager must demonstrate technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
In order to improve intervention procedures, he/she defines action rules and ensures that they are applied by company personnel and subcontractors.
He/she must be able to:
- Analyze equipment operating and maintenance conditions (reliability, maintainability, availability, safety).
- Define maintenance methods or organizations adapted to a given context.
- Pilot an improvement action in conjunction with the maintenance function.
- Ensure economic follow-up of maintenance activities.
- Lead an activity follow-up meeting in conjunction with the maintenance function.
- Report on maintenance activities to the manager.

Start date: October
Duration: 12 months.
441 hrs, taught in the form of classes, seminars and practical work.
On average, 3 weeks of work-study are followed by 1 week of training at AFPI Languedoc-Roussillon in Baillargues and/or IUT Montpellier.
Validation of the diploma earns 60 European Credits (ECTS). Subjects studied include:

Registration for a Licence Professionnelle at the IUT consists of 3 stages. Each stage must be validated before moving on to the next:
Step 1 - Acceptance of the application :
- Hold a Bac +2 or equivalent*.
- Complete file.
Stage 2 - Eligibility Admissibility: Decided by a pedagogical committee after examination of the application (Curriculum Vitae, Letter of Motivation, Transcript of grades... details on e-candidat). Subject to certain conditions, the committee may request additional documents.
Step 3 - Final admission Final admission: Subject to the signature of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professionalization contract) within a company with assignments in line with the LPro theme, within the limits of available training places.
Contrat de Professionnalisation:
Suitable profiles: Young people under 26 with a technical Bac +2 with a "electrical and electronic engineering" base. Over-26s subject to special conditions.

Necessary prerequisites
Theoretical basis acquired in Bac+2 training (DUT, BTS) in "electrical and electronic engineering" or "systems maintenance".
