Objectives

The proposed training prepares students for the functions of assistant engineer (middle management staff with a Bac+3 level) as industrial maintenance manager. The skills of the graduate will be appreciated in companies with a production activity in fields such as energy, agri-food, production of goods, and possessing or wishing to develop a maintenance department.

Know-how and skills

The industrial maintenance manager must justify technical, organizational and relational skills.
In order to improve the methods of intervention, he/she defines the rules of action and ensures that they are applied by the company's personnel or by subcontractors.
He/she must be able to:
- Analyze the operating and maintenance conditions of equipment (reliability, maintainability, availability, safety).
- Define maintenance methods or organizations adapted to a context.
- Pilot an improvement action in connection with the maintenance function.
- Ensure the economic follow-up of the maintenance activities.
- Lead a meeting of follow-up of activities in connection with the maintenance function.
- Ensure the reporting of the maintenance activities to the manager.

Program

Start date: October
Duration: 12 months.
441 hours, taught in the form of classes, practical work and work experience.
The work-study program consists of an average of 3 weeks in a company and 1 week of training at AFPI Languedoc-Roussillon in Baillargues and/or at the IUT in Montpellier.
Validation of the diploma allows students to obtain 60 European credits (ECTS). The subjects studied concern:

Conditions of access

Online registration procedure for a limited time: ecandidat.umontpellier.fr

The registration in Professional Licence at IUT is composed of 3 steps. Each step must be validated to proceed to the next:

Step 1 - Eligibility of the file :

  • Hold a Bac +2 or in progress*.
  • Complete file.

Step 2 - Eligibility Admissibility: Pronounced by a pedagogical commission after examination of the file (Curriculum Vitae, Letter of Motivation, Transcript of grades... details on e-candidat). The commission may ask for other documents in the file.

Step 3 - Final admission Final admission: Subject to the signature of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professionalization contract) within a company with missions in line with the theme of the LPro, within the limits of the places available in the training.

Adapted profiles: Young people under 26 years of age with a technical Bac +2 with a "electrical and electronic engineering" base. People over 26 years of age under special conditions.
