The advantages of the training program
The program benefits from strong partnerships with cosmetics manufacturers and COSMED, offering students direct links to the professional sector. The faculty, who are heavily involved in the field of health, conduct research at the IRCM, IBMM, and ICGM institutes, enriching the curriculum with recent scientific advances.
With more than 30 years of existence, formerly under the name DEUST PAC, this program has proven its effectiveness and relevance, ensuring optimal preparation of students for the demands of the job market.
Objectives
After a second year of a bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Cosmetic Formulation, this third year of the bachelor's degree allows students to deepen and continue to explore cosmetic formulation, providing them with a whole range of tools and knowledge: skin testing and evaluation techniques, knowledge of cosmetic regulations, and concepts related to medications for topical use.

Projects
Many hours are devoted to independent project work. With more than 30% of the teaching staff coming from industry, numerous national and international industrial partnerships have been established.
Close, formal collaborations also exist with institutions such as the Georges Frêche Hotel School and the Montpellier Contemporary School of Fine Arts (ESBAMA). These partnerships enable the development of multidisciplinary projects and give students the opportunity to work on cultural projects and present them to an audience, thereby enriching their practical experience and professional skills.
Internship
As part of the initial training, the five-month internship takes place in semester 6 between February and August.
Final projects are evaluated by a jury composed of university professors and professionals from the cosmetics and dermopharmaceutical industries.
Program
The program consists of a core curriculum (Perfumes-Flavors / Cosmetics and Dermopharmaceuticals) and a specific component for each track. The core courses reflect the multidisciplinary skills to be acquired, while the specific courses focus on the skills and experimental know-how specific to the relevant fields. The program is open to continuing education and work-study programs. Upon completion of the program, students will receive 60 European credits (ECTS).

Admission
Admission requirements
Applications are submitted via e-candidat rouge (usually between March and June) and evaluated by the teachers responsible for teaching. The evaluation is based on the candidate's level of education, results, and grades obtained during their post-baccalaureate studies, as well as their career plans and knowledge of the field in which they wish to develop their skills (cosmetics and dermopharmaceuticals). Preselected candidates are invited to a telephone/videoconference interview and/or an interview at the training site.
