Presentation
The Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, and Mediation at the University of Montpellier is offered by the Faculty of Education (hereinafter referred to as FDE). There are two tracks:
Preparatory course for elementary school teaching
Multidisciplinarity and professions in teaching, education, and training [FDE]
Within the Multidisciplinarity and Teaching, Education, and Training program, there is a sub-program entitled "Engineering Science and Technology for Teaching and Training" (STIEF).
At the same time, the Faculty of Sciences (FDS) is collaborating with the FDE to offer a course entitled "Sciences in Primary Education and Science Mediation" (SPDMS), which trains students who wish to become school teachers or science mediators.
Objectives
The main objective is to prepare students to become teachers and to consider entering a Master's degree program in MEEF (Teaching, Education, and Training) for primary or secondary education, or a Master's degree in scientific mediation.

Program
- The preparatory course for elementary school teaching (PPPE) is evolving from a first year spent mainly in high school to a third year spent mainly at university.
L1: 75% Jean Monnet High School and 25% Montpellier Faculty of Education
L2: 50% Jean Monnet High School and 50% Montpellier Faculty of Education
L3: 25% Jean Monnet High School and 75% Montpellier Faculty of Education
- Multidisciplinarity and teaching, education, and training professions (PMEEF) is taught at five training sites: Carcassonne, Mende, Montpellier, Nîmes, and Perpignan. The program is divided into six semesters over three years. In the third year, students have the option of taking the "Education and Training" sub-course, which prepares them for a career as a school counselor.
- The Industrial Science and Technology for Education and Training (STIEF) sub-program is only available in the third year of the Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Education in Montpellier.
Admission
Admission requirements
New high school graduates or high school graduates undergoing retraining must apply via Parcoursup.
Students with a BUT or DUT degree in technology who wish to enroll in the L3 STIEF program can apply via Ecandidat.

Mandatory prerequisites
To have obtained a high school diploma.

In the MEEF master's program:
-1st degree Elementary school teacher
-1st degree Teacher of regional languages (Occitan or Catalan)
For those who have completed the L3 STIEF sub-course in the MEEF master's program:
-Secondary education Industrial Engineering Sciences, Industrial Sciences and Technology (SII-STI)
Master's degree in Education and Training Sciences:
-Engineering of training in French and English as foreign languages (EIFFALE)
-Artistic and cultural mediation (MAC)
-Corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, education, health, environment, citizenship (ReSoDDe-ESEC)
-Transitions, Training Engineering, and Job Transformations (TransForM)
Master's degree in Science Communication.
