Objectives
The Licence en droit (law degree) with a "health access" option (LAS) is designed to provide a fundamental foundation of knowledge and skills in law, while enabling students to apply to MMOP (Medicine, Maïeutics, Odontology, Pharmacy).
The LAS Droit consists of first-, second- and third-year courses.
The1st year of the LAS is structured into two courses:
- LOSI (License with integrated health option)
The first year of the LOSI Law program comprises the "Law Major" (48 ECTS) and the "Health Minor" (12 ECTS), the latter being taught by the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Montpellier. It is reserved for students with a baccalaureate, as well as for students who are reorienting their studies and who have not previously studied health. If the student passes the first year, he/she can apply for the health field(s) of interest. If they are admitted to the2nd year of MMOP, they continue their studies at the Faculty concerned.
- LOSC (License with complementary health option)
The LOSC Droit allows students to take the "health minor" (12 ECTS) in addition to 60 ECTS from their L1, L2 or L3 Droit. The first year of the LOSC is open to students who have not passed the PASS, but who wish to continue with the health option with a view to admission to health courses at the end of L2 (after having passed 120 ECTS in Law and 12 ECTS of the health minor) or at the end of L3 (after having passed 180 ECTS in Law and 12 ECTS of the health minor).
The2nd year of LOSC Droit (LAS 2) is divided into two courses:
- L2 Adapted course with complementary health option
This course is open to students who have passed the PASS and taken the "law minor" as part of their health curriculum.
- L2 LOSC (License with complementary health option)
This course is open to students who have completed L1 LOSC or1st year LOSI.
The3rd year of LOSC Droit (LAS 3) is open to students who have completed the second year of the LOSC.
At the end of the L2 Droit LOSC or the L3 Droit LOSC, the student may, on condition of having validated 120 or 180 ECTS and 12 ECTS of the "health minor", apply again for health studies (MMOP).
During the LAS and PASS years, students may apply, twice at most, for one or more of the health courses offered by the University of Montpellier.
