Objectives

The Bachelor of Law degree with a "health access" option (LAS) and training whose main objective is to enable students to acquire a fundamental base of knowledge and skills in law, while allowing them to apply for MMOP (Medicine, Midwifery, Dentistry, Pharmacy).

The LAS Law program consists of first-, second-, and third-year courses.

Thefirst year of the LAS is structured into two tracks:

  • LOSI (Bachelor's degree with integrated health option)

The first year of the LOSI Law program consists of courses in "Major Law" (48 ECTS) and "Minor Health" (12 ECTS), the latter being taught by the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy at the University of Montpellier. It is reserved for high school graduates and students changing majors who have not previously studied health. If the student successfully completes their first year, they can apply for the health program(s) that interest them. If they are admitted tothe second year of MMOP, they continue their studies at the relevant faculty.

  • LOSC (Bachelor's degree with complementary health option)

The LOSC Law program allows students to take the "health minor" (12 ECTS) in addition to 60 ECTS from L1, L2, or L3 Law. The first year of LOSC is open to students who have not validated the PASS but wish to continue the health option with a view to admission to health programs at the end of L2 (after validating 120 ECTS in Law and 12 ECTS in the health minor) or at the end of L3 (after having validated 180 ECTS in Law and 12 ECTS in the health minor).

Thesecond year of LOSC Law (LAS 2) is divided into two tracks:

  • L2 Adapted course with the complementary health option

This program is open to students who have completed the PASS and taken the "minor in law" as part of their health studies.

  • L2 LOSC (Bachelor's degree with a minor in complementary health)

This program is open to students who have successfully completed the first year of LOSC or thefirst year of LOSI.

Thethird year of LOSC Law (LAS 3) is open to students who have successfully completed the second year of LOSC.

Upon completion of the LOSC L2 Law or LOSC L3 Law programs, students may reapply to study health sciences (MMOP), provided they have earned 120 or 180 ECTS credits and 12 ECTS credits in the "health minor."

During the LAS and PASS years, students may apply a maximum of two times for one or more health programs offered by the University of Montpellier.
