Description
Complements to linear algebra, reduction theory, and applicationsÂ
# Linear algebra supplements, concept of direct sum
# Determinants
# Reduction: diagonalization and applications to the study of discrete and continuous dynamic systems in physics, chemistry, biology, or economics.
Objectives
The objective of the course is to present the mathematical tools used to accurately study simple models of population evolution in biology, interacting actors in economics, or pharmacological models in chemistry (compartmental models), etc.
Implementation on a machine is not a direct objective of the course, but depending on student demand, it may include computer programming activities.
Mandatory prerequisites
First-year linear algebra teaching
Knowledge assessment
continuous assessment
