Presentation

Description:

The Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration (LAP) aims to prepare students for category A and B competitive examinations in the three branches of the civil service (state, local, and hospital).

The LAP also prepares for direct recruitment of executives developed by the 2019 civil service transformation law, as well as for the internal promotion of civil servants (continuing education). The LAP thus meets the expectations expressed by the Ministry in charge of the civil service, which is to build a civil service that reflects society, i.e., to allow access to category A to anyone regardless of their previous background (L2, CPGE, BTS, DUT, but also welcoming people who already hold a L3 or Master's degree) and their field of specialization (law/economics/management, literature, science, etc.), while benefiting from a common foundation covering public administration and its challenges.

Speakers (academics and professionals) frequently participate in competition juries, which allows for training that is particularly focused on what examiners and markers expect in civil service competitions.

The public administration degree thus acts as a social ladder.

What is work-study?

Students alternate between periods of university education and periods of learning in the professional world.

2 advantages:

  • The apprentice is paid and receives a salary ranging from 67% to 100% of the minimum wage per month, depending on their age.
  • the apprentice acquires practical skills

What is the purpose of work-study programs?

Work-study programs serve as a springboard for entering the professional world. Your years in a work-study program allow you to discover employers who may hire you directly or help you succeed in competitive exams.

The purpose of work-study programs is to give you direct exposure to your future profession.

Let yourself be won over by the professional world and real life, and maximize your chances of success in competitive exams.

Why choose the work-study program at IPAG?

You can prepare for civil service exams while working in a public administration setting: state services such as prefectures or the DGFIP (Public Finance Directorate), local services such as departments or municipalities, and finally public hospitals. You can also be an apprentice in social security services, EPICs (public industrial and commercial establishments), semi-public companies, etc.

During oral exams, an apprentice has twice as much chance of succeeding.
