This module is an introduction to the use of Python for students in the sciences. It will cover notions of algorithmics and the Python language, but the approach is primarily oriented towards a usefulness in Science. The examples will be based on problems related to the other first year subjects.

This course introduces the basic concepts of Newtonian Dynamics by completing the notions on the dynamics of the material point seen in the General Physics course and by extending them to non-inertial reference frames, to the theory of collisions and to systems with variable mass. The basic notions of hydrostatics and perfect fluid dynamics will also be covered.

This is a transversal practical work unit intended for students majoring in physics, mechanics or EEA in the L1 PCSI portal.
