Description
The objective is to provide the minimum mathematical foundation necessary for a computer science degree.
Objectives
This course is designed for students who have not acquired certain mathematical bases in high school.
1) Basic calculation: fractions, power, logarithm, various summations
2) Basic concepts in logic and reasoning: negation of a proposition, logical connectors and, or, quantifiers, implication, equivalence, contraposed.Different types of reasoning and mathematical demonstrations: reasoning by contraposition, demonstration by recurrence, reasoning by the absurd
3) Analysis: limit, derivation and extremum search
4) Sequences and recurrences
5) Probability
