• system boot (boot and multi-boot)

• console vs. graphical execution mode

• Introduction to network concepts: client/server, protocol, identification, internet

• Introduction of the notion of formal language: regular expressions

• Practical knowledge of the FdS computer environment and the linux system:

• knowledge of the main linux commands

• familiarization with bash, writing some scripts

• understanding of a page of the manual

• configuration of network applications

• knowledge of activity analysis and diagnostic tools (time, ping, ...)

• installation of a linux system and network configuration
