The aim of the International Business: Purchasing and Sales pathway is to train students in international marketing and sales, by developing strategic and operational skills in an international context. Graduates of this program will be able to take up positions in international trade.

In B.U.T 2, this course is offered as part of a traditional training program, with an 8-week internship. In B.U.T 3, this course is also offered as part of a conventional training program, with a semester 5 abroad at one of our partner universities or schools, and a 14-week internship.

Objectives

In addition to the skills common to all BUT TC courses(marketing, sales, commercial communication), the BIAV course enables students to develop skills in the field of international strategy on the one hand, and international operations on the other (see below).

International strategy: formulate an international business strategy by :

  • analyzing the company "s capacity to internationalize in order to develop its import/export business;
  • assessing the international environment to identify import and export opportunities;
  • selecting the best-performing market(s) for the company.

International operations: manage international operations by :

  • using tools adapted to international purchasing;
  • adapting the logistics chain to international sales strategy;
  • managing import-export operations efficiently ;
  • developing a marketing policy adapted to the international context.
