Presentation
The B.U.T Chimie Sète trains senior technicians to work directly with engineers and researchers in all areas of chemical applications.
As part of its locally-oriented courses (10% of the curriculum), the Chemistry-Sète Department offers a course devoted to the environment, and more specifically to environmental chemical analysis. This specific course covers current topics such as air, water and soil pollution, waste treatment, rehabilitation of polluted sites, sampling techniques and field analysis.

Objectives
To train senior technicians/intermediate managers, direct collaborators of the engineer or researcher in all fields of chemical applications: research, development, production, analysis or control.
Know-how and skills
Upon completion of the course, the graduate will be able to:
- Analyze solid, liquid and gaseous samples.
- Synthesize molecules.
- Develop materials and/or formulated products.
- Produce intermediate compounds and finished products.
- Manage a chemical laboratory or a production workshop.
- To control the Health, Safety and Environment aspects.
