Healthcare-Specific Access Program (PASS)

The health programs in question are Midwifery, Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy (MMOP), as well as Physical Therapy (K).
The MMOPK health programs are selective: the number of spots in the second year is limited.
High school students can choose from several pathways that will allow them to apply to health programs after one, two, or three years of undergraduate study.

The program allows students to submit a second application if their first one is rejected.
It is also designed to help students who fail the MMOPK exam find alternative academic paths.

At the University of Montpellier, two programs (known as “preparatory programs”) are offered that, subject to certain conditions,
allow students to apply to the MMOPK program.

• The PASS track (Specific Health Care Access Track) offered by the health sciences faculties.
  Most of the coursework is in the health sciences. In addition, there are complementary “
  ” courses—known as “réos”—that allow students to continue into the second year of the bachelor’s degree program
  if they are not admitted to the MMOPK program (students cannot repeat a year in the PASS program).
• The LAS Program (Bachelor’s Degree with a Health Access Option).
  Mirroring the PASS system, the majority of courses are those of the relevant bachelor’s degree program (law,
  economics, mathematics, physics, etc.). In addition, there are “health minors,” consisting
  of courses in the health field that enable students to apply to MMOPK.
  The LAS program is offered at the University of Montpellier by “non-health” faculties
  and by partner universities that do not have a health faculty:
  Paul Valéry University, University of Perpignan, University of Nîmes
• There are other pathways to MMOP, though they offer fewer spots, such as after completing a master’s degree
  2, a doctoral degree, an engineering degree, or training at a nursing training institute
  (IFSI)
