Presentation
The health studies concerned are midwifery, medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy (MMOP), as well as physical therapy (K).
MMOPK health studies are selective courses: the number of places in the second year is limited.
High school students can choose between several paths that will allow them to apply for health studies after one, two, or three years of undergraduate study.
Decree No. 2019-1126 of November 4, 2019...
The system allows students to submit a second application if they fail the first time.
It is also designed to encourage students who fail MMOPK to change course.
At the University of Montpellier, two programs (known as "previous programs") are offered which, under certain conditions, allow students to apply for MMOPK.
The PASS (Parcours spécifique accès santé)program offered by the Faculties of Health.
Most of the courses are in the field of health. In addition, there are complementary courses known as reorientation courses (les réos) that allow students to continue into the second year of a bachelor's degree if they are not admitted to MMOPK (it is not possible to repeat a year in PASS).- The LAS program (bachelor's degree with a health option).
Mirroring the PASS system, most of the courses are those of the bachelor's degree in question (law,
economics, mathematics, physics, etc.). In addition, there are "health minors," consisting of
courses in the field of health that allow students to apply for MMOPK.
The LAS program is offered at the University of Montpellier by "non-health" faculties
and by partner universities that do not have a health faculty:
Paul Valéry University, University of Perpignan, University of Nîmes - Other routes into MMOP, which offer fewer places, are possible, for example after completing a master's degree
2, a doctorate, an engineering degree, or after training at a nursing training institute
(IFSI).

TUTORING!
Tutoring helps students succeed in their first year of health studies. To this end, student "tutors" offer regular review sessions to help you prepare for the demands of the first year.
Don't miss out on this important support throughout the year! Tutoring is available on all three PASS campuses:
- On the Flahault campus, find ATP tutoring
- On the ADV campus, find ATM2 tutoring.
- At the Carémeau campus in Nîmes, find TSN tutoring.
To help you prepare for the new school year with peace of mind, the tutors are organizing a pre-school year course at the end of August.
Admission
Capacity
It is determined each year by universities with a health component, in conjunction with regional health agencies (
s régionales de santé, ARS), and is based on the capacity of health faculties to accept students in their second and third years and on the regions' needs for healthcare professionals.
