Presentation

The health studies concerned are the Maïeutique, Médecine, Odontologie and Pharmacie (MMOP) streams, as well as the Kinésithérapie (K) stream.
MMOPK health studies are selective, with a limited number of places available in the second year.
High school students can choose from a number of different courses, which will enable them to apply for health studies after one, two or three years of undergraduate study.

Decree no. 2019-1126 of November 4, 2019...

The system allows students to submit a second application if they are unsuccessful in their first.
The system is also designed to help students who fail the MMOPK reorient their studies.

At the University of Montpellier, two pathways (known as "prior pathways") are offered, enabling students to
apply for MMOPK under certain conditions.

  • The PASS pathway (Parcours spécifique accès santé) offered by the Faculties of Health.
Most of the courses are health-related. In addition, students can take additional courses
known as reorientation courses ("réos"), which enable them to continue in the second year of their bachelor's degree
if they are not admitted to the MMOPK (there is no possibility of repeating a year in PASS).
  • The LAS pathway (license with health access option).
Mirroring the PASS system, the majority of courses are those of the license in question (law,
economics, mathematics, physics, etc.). In addition, there are "health minors", comprising
health-related courses that enable students to apply to MMOPK.
The LAS pathway is offered at the University of Montpellier by "non-health" faculties
and by partner universities that do not have a health faculty:
Université Paul Valéry, Université de Perpignan, Université de Nîmes.
  • Other access routes to MMOP, with a minority of places, are possible, for example after a master's degree
2, a doctorate, an engineering degree, or after training in a nursing training institute
    (IFSI).
