Presentation
The professional degreein International Trade, specializing in International Technical Sales, offeredat the Montpellier-Sète University Institute of Technology, is only available as a work-study program (professional training contract) in partnership with AFPI-LR. Over the course of one year, this work-study program prepares future managers to manage international trade operations in the specific context of small and medium-sized industrial companies.
Over 86% pass rate for the diploma. A permanent contract offered to at least 75% of graduates.

Under the responsibility of the company manager or a sales executive, the holder of the professional license must be able to:
- Manage the constraints and opportunities created by changes in trade patterns;
- Analyze international markets and organize strategic and commercial monitoring;
- Establish and/or improve customer service, act as the interface between the customer and production;
- Lead a business development project and liaise with production stakeholders;
- Selling and buying on markets and/or managing customer/supplier relations in English and another foreign language;
- Manage intercultural differences and specific business customs and practices;
- Present and promote an organization or product in writing and orally in French and in a foreign language;
- Use the various PMI support measures to assist your business development in France and internationally.
- Integrate new information and communication technologies into the company's daily professional practices;
- Manage customs procedures and international regulations.

Special facilities
The unique schedule of one week of classes per month allows for a location that is far removed from Montpellier.
Program
Start date: September
Course duration: 441 hours.
Duration: 12 months of work-study (September to August), including 13 weeks at the IUT and/or AFPI-LR (classes) and 34 weeks in a company (internship/professional activities/project).
Work-study schedule: 1 week at the IUT in Montpellier or at the AFPI-LR for every 3 weeks at a regional company.
Courses are taught by university lecturers and at least 25% by professionals.
The professional/internship period and the supervised project ensure that students develop solid skills during the two semesters of the professional bachelor's degree.
The degree is worth 60 European credits.
This program leads to:
- a national degree awarded by the University of Montpellier and run by the Marketing Techniques department of the Montpellier University Institute of Technology (IUT),
in partnership with the Languedoc-Roussillon Professional Training Association (AFPI-LR);
- the Joint Metallurgy Qualification Certificate No. 0213 "SME-SMI Business Development Manager through Internationalization and Innovation."

Enrollment in a Professional Bachelor's Degree program at the IUT consists of three steps. Each step must be validated before moving on to the next:
Step 1 – Admissibility of the application:
- Hold a two-year college degree or be currently enrolled*.
- Complete file.
Step 2 – Eligibility : Determined by an educational committee after reviewing the application (resume, cover letter, transcript, etc. – details on e-candidat). The committee may request additional documents for the application.
Step 3 – Final admission: Subject to the signing of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professional training contract) with a company offering assignments in line with the LPro program, subject to availability.

- Candidates with two years of post-secondary education, under the age of 26, on a professional training contract.
- Job seekers over the age of 26, on an adult professional training contract.
