The professional degree in International Trade, International Sales Technician course, offered at the IUT Montpellier-Sète, is only open on a work-study basis (professionalization contract) in partnership with the AFPI-LR. Know-how and skills

Under the responsibility of the company manager or a sales executive, the holder of the professional license must be able to :

  • Managing the constraints and opportunities created by changes in trade;
  • Analyze international markets and organize a strategic and commercial watch;
  • Implement and/or improve customer service, be the interface between the customer and production;
  • Leading a business development project and interfacing with production players;
  • Selling and buying in markets and/or handling foreign customer/supplier relations in English and another foreign language;
  • Managing cross-cultural differences and specific business customs and practices;
  • Present and promote an organization or a product in French and in a foreign language;
  • Use the various aids to the SME to support its commercial development in France and abroad;
  • Integrate new information and communication technologies in the daily professional practices of the company;
  • Manage customs procedures and international regulations.

The particular rhythm of one week of classes per month, allows us to have a place of alternation very far from Montpellier.

Program

Start date: September
Duration of courses: 441h.
Duration: 12 months in alternation (September to August) including 13 weeks at the IUT and/or AFPI-LR (courses) and 34 weeks in a company (internship/professional activities/project)
The alternation rhythm: 1 week at the IUT of Montpellier or at the AFPI-LR for 3 weeks in a regional company.
The courses are taught by university lecturers and by at least 25% of professional lecturers.
The professional period/internship and the tutored project ensure a solid increase in the students' skills during the two semesters of the professional license.
The validation of the diploma allows to obtain 60 European credits.
This training allows students to obtain:
- a national diploma issued by the University of Montpellier and piloted by the Marketing Techniques department of the Montpellier IUT,
in partnership with the Association de Formation Professionnelle de l'Industrie du Languedoc-Roussillon (AFPI-LR);
- the Certificat de Qualification Paritaire de la Métallurgie n°0213 " Animateur du Développement Commercial de la PME PMI par l'International et l'innovation ".

Conditions of access

Online registration procedure for a limited time: ecandidat.umontpellier.fr

The registration in Professional Licence at IUT is composed of 3 steps. Each step must be validated to proceed to the next:

Step 1 - Eligibility of the file :

  • Hold a Bac +2 or in progress*.
  • Complete file.

Step 2 - Eligibility Admissibility: Pronounced by a pedagogical commission after examination of the file (Curriculum Vitae, Letter of Motivation, Transcript of grades... details on e-candidat). The commission may ask for other documents in the file.

Step 3 - Final admission Final admission: Subject to the signature of a work-study contract (apprenticeship or professionalization contract) within a company with missions in line with the theme of the LPro, within the limits of the places available in the training.
