The aim of this professional degree is to train CAD-CAM designers in the building and civil engineering sector, fully integrated into the BIM approach.
Objectives
The professional objectives of this professional degree are to train senior technicians who are able to:
➔ to use Computer Aided Drafting and Computer Aided Design techniques in the field of Building and Public Works,
➔ to implement total project management using appropriate IT tools and new information and communication technologies, to create or manage sites in the building and civil engineering sector,
➔ to act as a resource person within the company, helping to select software, hardware and first-level maintenance,
➔ to keep abreast of changes in software and equipment.
Know-how and skills
In the building and public works (BTP) sector, design draftsmen are responsible for studying the problems posed by the construction of various parts of a structure (pavilion, residential, commercial or industrial building). They work in a design office.
This professional prepares the documents (written and drawings) needed to complete the work. Increasingly, they use CAD (computer-aided drafting, where plans are drawn automatically on a plotter) and CAD (computer-aided design) software.
He or she is responsible for total project management, helps choose software and hardware, participates in optimizing costs and production times, and provides basic maintenance of computer hardware and networks.

Necessary prerequisites
Hold a DUT or BTS from a technological stream or L2 from a university.
File examination and invitation to an individual interview.
The department draws up a list of candidates admitted to the apprenticeship program.
