The Purchasing and Supply Management Professional Degree (Licence professionnelle) is designed to place students who have acquired a Bachelor's degree (180 credits) in level II jobs in both the public and private sectors in purchasing and supply management. This Bachelor's degree gives students the opportunity to take competitive exams for civil service positions in categories C and B. It offers a sandwich course and is open to continuing education.

Program

Traditional system:
Validation of the diploma earns 60 European credits (ECTS) and leads to a Bachelor's degree. The course comprises 430 hours of lectures, 120 hours of group project management and 16 weeks of internship.
The group project must respond to a purchasing issue raised by companies, or to a purchasing-related question submitted by the teaching team. The defense of the tutored project takes place at the end of semester 5.
The internship carried out by the student alone must be a preparation for the purchasing or procurement profession. Possibility of validation of prior learning.

Work-study programs : apprenticeship and professionalization contracts
Work-study or professionalization contracts can be signed with private or public companies.
Students can propose work-study or professionalization contracts to the training organization. The training organization can offer them to students. A contract in the application file is a plus for recruitment.
The course comprises 430 hours of teaching, 120 hours of projects and 15 weeks of classes at the IUT for 30 weeks in the company, 16 of which are allocated to a professional assignment (independent purchasing).
For both programs: The diploma includes a one-week awareness-raising course on competitive examinations for the civil service (local authorities, hospitals, universities, etc.).
Teaching is provided by university and professional lecturers.

Purchasing management in the public sector

The GASP professional degree offered by IUT Montpellier-Sète enables students to follow a course entitled"Gestion des Achats dans le Secteur Public" ("Public Sector Purchasing Management").
