The professional license Purchasing and supply management course Purchasing management in the public sector is intended to insert students who have acquired the degree of License (180 credits) on level II jobs in the public sector as well as private on jobs of purchasing and supply. This Bachelor's degree offers the possibility of taking public service exams for category C and B positions. It offers a work-study program and is open to continuing education.

Program
Traditional system:
The validation of the diploma allows to obtain 60 European credits (ECTS) and to obtain the degree of Licence. The training includes 430 hours of classes, 120 hours of group project management, and 16 weeks of internship.
The group project must respond to a purchasing problem posed by companies, or answer a question related to purchasing, submitted by the teaching team. The defense of the tutored project takes place at the end of semester 5.
The internship carried out alone by the student must be a preparation for the job of buyer or procurer. Possibility of validation of prior learning.

TO REMEMBER: Very few places are offered.
Work-study program : apprenticeship contract and professionalization contract
Work-study or professionalization contracts can be signed with private or public companies.
Students can propose them to the training structure. The training structure can propose one to the students. A contract in the application file is a plus for recruitment.
The training includes 430 hours of teaching, 120 hours of projects and 15 weeks of classes at the IUT for 30 weeks in a company, 16 of which are allocated to a professional mission (purchases made independently).
For both schemes: The diploma includes a week of awareness-raising for public servicecompetitions (local authorities, hospitals, universities, etc.).
The courses are taught by university lecturers and professionals.

Public Sector Procurement Management
The GASP professional license given at the IUT Montpellier-Sète allows the student to follow a course called"Management of Purchases in the Public Sector".
