Presentation
The professional degree in Insurance, Banking, Finance: Customer Manager , Commercial Advisor on the Individual Market, prepares students in one year through apprenticeship (CFA DIFCAM or FORMAPOSTE depending on the host company) for positions as commercial advisors in the banking and insurance sectors.
The degree is certified ISO 9001, version 2015.
The teaching takes place in two complementary stages (440 hours) and is provided by at least 25% of professionals in the sector:
- General training related to the insurance, banking and finance professions.
- Specific training in the profession of sales advisor for individuals.
Professional and regulatory certifications are awarded either during the year depending on the success of tests, or on graduation for some: LCB-FT, International Sanctions (OFAC), LCC-Loi Lagarde, DCI Directive, ACPR Insurance level 1.
The integration of additional course modules now allows students to prepare for the certification of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF)
These different stages are coupled with an internship thesis and a professional project report (120h) which ensure a solid increase in students' skills over the two semesters of the professional degree.
Approximately 95%, including drop-outs during the year.

The advantages of the course
The assessment of knowledge is continuous for each course. Examinations are held to assess the internship and tutored project dissertations (collective)
The LP is awarded if the average is higher than 10/20 for all grades, including the internship and project, and if the average is higher than 10/20 for the internship and project (decree on the licence pro 1999 and decree on the licence, licence pro and master 2014).
Validation of the diploma enables 60 European credits (ECTS) to be obtained.
The diploma is equivalent to :
- Training on the Consumer Credit Law (Lagarde Law),
- DCI (Real Estate Credit Directive) training,
- Level I ACPR,
- Level I IAS,
- Level I IOB,
- Level I CIF.
Professional certifications are delivered during the year, depending on the success of certain tests:
- LCB - FT (fight against money laundering and terrorist financing), private market
- International sanctions - OFAC,
- Consumer Credit Law - Lagarde Law
The licence offers the possibility of taking, at the IUT of Montpellier-Sète, the Voltaire certification and the ibellule module for e-mail writing
Objectives
The professional degree aims to insert students directly into working life, in positions as sales advisors for individuals in the banking and insurance sectors.
(ROME codes: C1201: Reception and banking services; C1203 - Banking/finance customer relations; C1206: Banking customer management; C1205 - Financial asset management advice; C1102: Insurance customer advice.)
Know-how and skills
The sales advisor in the retail market must acquire a set of skills enabling him/her to carry out the following main activities, in the context of an omnichannel customer journey:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of a branch,
- Analyse the customer's needs (customer discovery),
- Negotiate and sell financial products and services,
- Manage a portfolio of customers,
- Analyse and manage the risks linked to the activity
- Master the changes in the sector and in the regulations

Programme
12 months of alternation, 17 weeks of which are spent at the IUT Montpellier-Sète (overall alternation rhythm 2 weeks / 2 weeks) during which a set of subjects are studied. They can be grouped as follows
- Customer Relationship Management and commercial negotiation (20%)
- Banking and insurance products and services (15%)
- Taxation, property law and consumer law (15%)
- Private individual financing, risk and guarantee (15%)
- Mathematics, accounting and financial analysis (8%)
- Financial markets and stock market operations (7%)

Admission
Target audience
Graduates with a 2-year degree, preferably with a commercial focus.
Under 30 years of age when signing an apprenticeship contract. Any age for the signature of a professionalization contract.
Necessary pre-requisites
Any diploma at Bac + 2 level can give access to the licence.
Recommended prerequisites
A 2-year degree and/or professional experience (and/or internship) in the field of banking or insurance are appreciated.
And then
Further studies
The objective of the professional degree is rapid integration into working life and not further study.
However, some students do go on to professional Masters degrees, generally in alternation with their host company, particularly in the professions of professional or wealth advisor.
Gateways and reorientation
Any other training accessible at Bac +2 level, or Bac + 3 after obtaining the licence.
Professional integration
Taking the average of the last three surveys 30 months after graduation, the integration rate is 90%.
The vast majority of jobs are located in the Occitanie region and in the targeted sector. The average salary declared is €1770.
