SHORT TRAINING COURSE | Polymers: Thermal, mechanical, and rheological characterization of polymer materials

  • Training structure

Faculty of Science, Continuing Education Department

Presentation

During the short course on polymers, you will first learn about the general properties of polymer materials in their solid state, then you will perform and interpret mechanical and thermal tests to characterize polymers.

The lessons delivered during this training course aim to provide skills in thermomechanical analysis of polymers:

  • Measurement of characteristic temperatures (Tg, Tf, Tc, Td) using DSC and TGA
  • Measurement of mechanical properties: tensile tests
  • Measurement of thermomechanical properties using DMA and rheometer
