This one-day training course is designed to help participants overcome the current challenges in developing sunscreen formulations, which is one of the most complex areas of the cosmetics industry.
This session will teach participants the methodology for developing a sunscreen product that combines performance, effectiveness, environmental friendliness, health safety, innovative texture, and a pleasant sensory experience.

Program
Dates: September 25, 2026 (7 hours and 30 minutes of training)
Program:
Morning
- Program overview, followed by 3 hours of hands-on practice formulating a sunscreen emulsion with organic SPF 50 filters
- Computer Workshop Featuring a Proposal for an SPF 30 Filter System + Solubilizer Using a Solar Simulator
- Characterization and physicochemical testing of formulations (microscope, viscosity, pH)
Afternoon
- Formulation of an SPF 50 sunscreen product with mineral filters
- In vitro SPF evaluation of the two sunscreen formulations on PMMA plates and comparison with in silico results
