Challenge-based learning (CBL) by CHARM-EU: learning by tackling real-world challenges.
This training at the CBL draws on the experience of the CHARM-EU university alliance, of which the University of Montpellier is a member.
With this method, learners take on challenges by seeking sustainable solutions to real-world issues. This approach encourages learners to build on their existing skills and acquire new ones through analyzing the subject matter, collaborating with peers and teachers, and engaging with stakeholders affected by the challenges.

Objectives
- Understanding the principles of CBL: gaining a thorough understanding of the principles and methodologies of challenge-based learning.
- Integrate transdisciplinary principles: involve training providers and external stakeholders
- Develop new teaching skills: design and implement CBL activities, create real-world challenges, facilitate collaboration, and guide learners.
- Encouraging learner engagement: techniques for motivating and encouraging learner engagement, promoting active learning.
- Use digital tools for collaboration, research, and reporting.
- Collaborate and network with peers to share best practices and develop a community of practice around CBL.
