Overview
Against the backdrop of pharmacies playing an increasingly important role in prevention and public health, this short training course was designed by the MontpellierSchool of Pharmacy to enable pharmacy technicians to acquire the practical and theoretical skills needed to administer vaccines.

Registration for the training course on the CPD platform must be completed no later than the first day of the e-learning course.
Objectives
This short, practice-oriented training course enables pharmacy technicians to acquire three key skills:
- Learning how to administer a vaccine,
- Managing side effects,
- Improve knowledge about vaccines and communication with patients.
Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to contribute effectively to vaccination campaigns, safely and in compliance with the legal framework.
This skills development is part of an effort to elevate the status of the profession and meet the growing need for community-based healthcare.
Program
Half-day training session (1:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.)
Several training sessions are scheduled for this year:
- June 12, 2025(e-learning course begins on June 6)
- June 17, 2025(e-learning course begins on June 12)
- June 26, 2025(e-learning course begins on June 20)
- July 1, 2025(e-learning course begins on June 26)
PROGRAM
- Updating knowledge through short video clips (remote)
- Regulatory Issues(20 minutes)
- Bacteria and Viruses(2 x 10 minutes)
- Vaccination and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases(20 minutes)
- Practical Instruction (in-person)
- Training in Vaccination Techniques
- Management of Post-Vaccination Events (feeling unwell, allergic reactions, etc.)
- Reviews
- Theoretical Knowledge Before Practical Instruction
- From Vaccination to the End of Training
A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the training.
