Presentation
Supplementary training to law studies, aimed at providing students with a broad general knowledge of the legal sector.
The College of Law is a three-year program of excellencewithin the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Montpellier.
Objectives
The College of Law is aimed at all students who wishto deepen their knowledge of the subjects taught at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, through a fundamental, philosophical, and historical approach rather than a purely "technical" one, using different teaching methods; and who have the required level to achieve this.
Program
In addition to the standard curriculum for the first and second years of the bachelor’s degree program, students at the College of Law take supplementary courses. During the academic term from September to April, students at the College of Law attend advanced seminars lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each, at a rate of two to three per week. The program during this period has been intentionally streamlined so that students can attend lectures and tutorials and devote the necessary time to their coursework.
Then, once classes and exams are over in May and June, seminars and lectures are held every day, while students are required to complete a significant amount of independent work, particularly in preparation for the mock trial.

Admission
Admission requirements
- The Law College is primarily open to high school graduates entering the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Montpellier; if admitted following a review of their application and an interview, they will join College I (the first year of the Law College during the first year of the Bachelor’s degree), then follow the curriculum of College II (during the second year of the Bachelor’s program) and College III during the third year of the Bachelor’s program (there is no obligation here; students may leave the College at any time. Those admitted to College I simply have priority for admission to Colleges II and III).
Note: The Montpellier Law College does not appear among the available options in Parcoursup. You must select the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Montpellier, as the Law College is a specialized program within that institution. - Students who have completed their first or second year of a bachelor’s degree may also enter the College directly into the second or third year without having taken the prerequisite courses, through a special admission process (which always takes place from May, immediately after grades are released, through the end of August, before the start of the academic year).
