Presentation

In order to prepare students for the first entrance exam to the National School of Magistrates (ENM), the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Montpellier offers, within the framework of its Institute of Judicial Studies (IEJ), a training course aimed at acquiring the methodology required for the various parts of the exam and updating candidates' knowledge in accordance with the exam requirements.
The courses are taught in close collaboration between academics and magistrates.
The preparation consists of lectures, presentations prepared by the candidates, and exercises in the form of practice written and oral exams.

Organize classes from September through May focused on the written portions of the competitive exam, with a particular emphasis on the general knowledge section.

From September through December, students take a weekly in-class exam under the same conditions as the actual exam, with the different exam sections rotating each week.

From January through May, a practice exam under actual exam conditions is held during the first week of each month.

Once eligibility has been determined (in late July), preparatory sessions and practice sessions for the technical oral exams and the comprehensive oral exam are held from August through December.

Thanks to a partnership with the Montpellier Court of Appeals, students who did not complete a court internship during their university studies are offered a position as a judicial assistant for one day a week from January through May.

A tutoring program is also in place, with one teacher responsible for 5 to 7 students.
