No project of this type—zygomatic implantology for the oral rehabilitation of severe maxillary atrophy—is being conducted by a health sciences faculty in France.
A project that addresses changes in the training of oral surgery residents at the Montpellier branch of the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) (Residency Program in Dentistry and Medicine).

Objectives
Acquisition of theoretical, practical, and clinical skills in anatomy and advanced oral surgery—including autotransplantation, pre-implant, implant, maxillary, and zygomatic procedures—begun as part of the Oral Surgery Residency program.
Expertise and Skills
Indications and management of oral surgery and rehabilitation, pre-implant procedures, mandibulomaxillary surgery, and zygomatic surgery (zygomatic implants, bone grafts, etc.)

4 semesters of completed Oral Surgery residency under the supervision of RTS Clinical Training Coordinators and/or Oral Implantology program directors:
CSD Dental Care Center and UCAA, Montpellier University Hospital: Dr. C. Favre de Thierrens, Dr. O. Chabadel, and Dr. P. Chollet
Oral Surgery Practice at the St. Roch Polyclinic Medical Center in Montpellier and UCAA, Montpellier University Hospital: Dr. Favre de Thierrens
- Department of Oral Surgery, Nîmes University Hospital: Dr. P. Lapeyrie
- Maxillofacial Surgery Practice in Rodez: Dr. D. Pascual

Being a Resident in Oral Surgery
Target Audience
CO Residents—from the Montpellier branch of the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS), in the fields of Medicine and Dentistry
4 semesters of completed Oral Surgery clinical rotations supervised by the RTS Clinical Rotation Coordinators and/or the Oral Implantology program directors.
