No project of this type—zygomatic implantology for oral rehabilitation of severe maxillary atrophy—is being conducted by any health faculty in France.
Project responding to changes in the training of Oral Surgery Interns in the Montpellier subdivision of the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) (Internship in Dentistry and Medicine).

Objectives
Acquisition of theoretical, practical, and clinical skills in advanced oral anatomy and surgery, autotransplantation, pre-implant and implant surgery, maxillary and zygomatic surgery, initiated as part of the Oral Surgery Internship.
Know-how and skills
Indications and management of oral surgery and rehabilitation, pre-implant, mandibular-maxillary, and zygomatic (zygomatic implants, bone grafts, etc.)
Program
Four semesters of validated internship in oral surgery supervised by RTS internship supervisors and/or implant oral surgery supervisors:
Dental Care Center (CSD) and UCAA Montpellier University Hospital: Dr. C. Favre de Thierrens, Dr. O. Chabadel, and Dr. P. Chollet
Oral Surgery Practice, St. Roch Polyclinic Medical Center, Montpellier, and UCAA CHU Montpellier: Dr. Favre de Thierrens
- Oral Surgery Department, Nîmes University Hospital: Dr. P. Lapeyrie
- Maxillofacial Surgery Practice, Rodez: Dr. D. Pascual
