The opening of the DE "Diplôme d'Études Supérieures de Notariat" will make it possible to implement the reform of the notary's diploma in accordance with:
- Decree no. 73-609 of July 5, 1973 on professional training in the notarial profession and the conditions of access to the functions of notary, amended by decree no. 2022-1298 of October 7, 2022.
- Order of July 5, 2023 relating to the Diplôme d'Études Supérieures de Notariat
- Agreements 232574 and 232496 signed by INFN and the University of Montpellier relating to the notarial profession.

Know-how and skills

Graduating notary students will have the skills to:
- Draw up standard deeds
- Work in business law
- Work in real estate law
- Master the techniques of family property law
- Master the ethical rules specific to this profession.
- Be able to draw up legal acts in the fields of real estate law, family law and business law. Be able to draw up legal deeds in the fields of real estate law, family law and business law.
- Master the basics of notarial accounting, the content of the notarial profession's collective bargaining agreement, know how to manage a team and master the different structures of professional practice.

Admission

Access conditions

Hold either:
- a Master's degree in notarial law (automatic entry to the DESN).
- a Master's degree in notarial law or any other Master's degree in law or deemed equivalent, and be shortlisted by the national selection committee in accordance with articles 15 and 16 of the decree of July 5, 2023 relating to the Diplôme d'Études Supérieures de Notariat.
