Objectives
Strengthen the educational skills and ethical reasoning of healthcare professionals so that they can work with their patients to manage their health.
Unique features of the training program:
• A pedagogical approach based on the expertise of members from organizations and institutions specializing in education and healthcare—who collaborate on the steering committee (University, CHRU (UTEP), AFDET)—as well as on the experience of hospital teams and patient associations already involved in the initiative.
• Development of a shared culture centered on patient support (living environment—care setting).
• A multidisciplinary approach involving both the public and healthcare providers.
• Emphasis on giving patients a voice to share their experiences.

Course: 96 hours
1 session
Oral defense of the thesis
Requirements for degree completion:
Completion of all training sessions and the internship
Writing a thesis titled "roadmap"

Obtaining authorization to enroll is essential.

Target Audience
Continuing education not offered as part of initial training. Healthcare professionals and healthcare providers in the public or private sectors who wish to strengthen the educational aspect of their practices, both in hospitals and in community settings. Patient representatives from patient advocacy organizations.

Application Selection Criteria:
- Have completed initial training in TPE (therapeutic patient education)
- Be involved in a health education or patient therapeutic education project (current or in the near future)
- Representation of different professions, practice settings, and geographic origins.
