The University Diploma specialising in Rural and Agricultural Business Law (DU D.R.E.A.) is a postgraduate course of 90 hours in total, with an exclusively professional aim, enabling its students to acquire or deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of rural law and agricultural business law.

Conditions of access

Access conditions according to levels :

Applications are examined on the basis of a file by a pedagogical selection committee, composed of at least two teachers of the diploma and two professionals from the rural sector, which meets in October of each academic year.

Target audience

Recruitment basin :

This diploma is intended for three types of public:

  • Students from the University of Montpellier 1 with a bachelor's degree or equivalent, in particular those from the Faculties of Law, Economics and Administration and Management, as well as from WOAgri, but also student lawyers registered with the CRFPA, as well as students from the École du notariat, seeking to acquire, in addition to their main degree, additional specific legal knowledge, intended to facilitate their future integration into the local or national job market in rural areas
  • Professionals from the rural sector, in particular from agricultural enterprises, the agricultural social security funds, Crédit Agricole, Groupama Sud and the Regional Chamber of Agriculture, who come to Montpellier 1 University to obtain a diploma providing them with good basic knowledge of the legal and administrative organisation of the rural sector and agricultural enterprises, enabling them to optimise their career development or their employment in the sector in question.
  • Lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, and professionals in the judicial sector.
