Presentation
Today, social protection law is a fundamental pillar of labor law. It is omnipresent in the lives of companies and individuals alike, and its technical nature and scope of application have become increasingly complex, requiring specific training.
In a constantly changing economic and social context, social protection systems are increasingly used as levers for managing human resources, securing career paths and managing risks.
Two protection systems coexist and complement each other:
The legal and compulsory social security system is based on a complex architecture. To understand it, you need to be familiar with a wide range of schemes (general, special, autonomous), which are currently undergoing far-reaching reforms. Legislative and jurisprudential developments in the areas of occupational risks, URSSAF inspections and social security litigation call for regular updating of knowledge.
In addition to this basic system, there is a supplementary social protection system, developed at the initiative of companies. This system mobilizes rules drawn from labor law, social protection law and insurance law. The gradual disengagement of the State and the growing importance of collective agreements have led to an increase in the complexity of the tools available, whether for provident schemes, supplementary pensions or health cover.
Faced with these challenges, the DU Droit et Pratique de la Protection Sociale (Social Protection Law and Practice) offers specialized training, geared towards the direct practical application of legal knowledge. It enables students to acquire a global and strategic vision of social protection, combining a legal framework, operational issues and an interdisciplinary approach.
