Objectives
Wealth management is now recognized as a professional activity in its own right. The main objective of this degree is to provide training in wealth management law, i.e., specialized legal training that enables students to acquire and deepen their knowledge of the legal techniques involved in wealth management.
To achieve this, the courses focus primarily on legal management techniques, drawn not only from civil law—property law, security law, family property law, etc.—but also from business law—group law, financial law, etc. (module 1). These courses are supplemented by the study of tax techniques for wealth management (module 2) and instruction in the fundamentals of accounting, financial analysis, and management (module 3).
The DU is primarily intended for law students who have already received basic legal training (minimum bachelor's degree). In addition, the DU can be a useful complement to the training of students enrolled in certain Master II programs, such as notarial law, DJCE, and construction law. To enable these students to follow the courses effectively, they will be grouped together over a three-week period in June of the academic year.
