Presentation
The Summer School in Sustainable Development at the University of Montpellier offers students a unique opportunity to learn about the major challenges currently facing the planet.
The courses cover most of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the UN and aim to explain not only the theoretical underpinnings of the problems we face but also the practical solutions that can be adopted.
All courses will be taught in English by a team of professors specializing in the field. Students will collaborate on group projects based on their specific interests, which they will present to the class. Students who wish to improve their French, regardless of their current level, can also take language courses.
Program
In this program, students will have 3 hours of class on sustainable development every morning during the two-week period. These courses will focus on both theoretical knowledge and its real-world application. In addition, students can also take 1.5 hours of French language classes in the afternoon. The rest of the time will be devoted to field trips, lectures, and projects. Students will have access to all university facilities (restaurant, coffee shop, library, study rooms, etc.), as well as Wi-Fi, so they can work on individual and group projects.
