This training course is intended for temporary or contract teachers who wish to prepare for the internal recruitment exam that grants access to the certified teacher grade or its pay scale for history and geography teachers.
Organized under an agreement with the Academic Delegation for the Training of National Education Personnel (DAFPEN) of the Montpellier Academy and the Faculty of Education, it welcomes teachers registered by the DAFPEN free of charge and on a priority basis.
However, the program is also open under the initial training system to students who do not have access to the Montpellier Academy's Academic Training Plan and wish to take one of these competitive examinations.
The training program focuses on the knowledge and skills required to pass the eligibility and admission tests. At the end of the DE, a certificate of attendance is issued to students who have completed at least 75% of the training program.
Objectives
Prepare for internal competitive examinations that allow access to the certified grade or its pay scale.
Know-how and skills
- Knowing how to use the specific knowledge and skills (scientific and didactic) acquired to teach history and geography in secondary education: the challenges, disciplinary concepts, approaches, etc.;
- Mastering the Common Core of Knowledge, Skills, and Culture and the various methods of competency-based assessment;
- Prepare the application for the eligibility test within the program framework;
- Acquire relevant insights into career paths;
5. Prepare for the admission exam by mastering all scientific, didactic, and pedagogical requirements related to the competency framework for teaching professions.

Admission

Bachelor's degree or special exemptions for admission to competitive examinations
Tuition fees
Organized under an agreement with the Academic Delegation for the Training of National Education Personnel (DAFPEN) of the Montpellier Academy and the Faculty of Education, it welcomes teachers registered by the DAFPEN free of charge and on a priority basis.

Professional integration
Teaching history and geography in public or private secondary schools as a tenured teacher if successful in the competitive examination, or as a contract teacher if unsuccessful.
