Admission
Registration Procedures
Obtaining authorization to enroll is essential.

Target Audience
• Initial training:
— Students in the DES program in cardiovascular medicine who have successfully completed their second year (beginning of the third year).
• Continuing education:
- physicians with a DE degree who hold a DES in Cardiology and Vascular Diseases or a DES in Cardiovascular Medicine, or the Cardiology certification,
- physicians with a DE degree who hold a DES in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, or a DES in Intensive Care and Resuscitation, or a DESC in Medical Resuscitation,
-Doctors of Medicine (DE) who hold the DES in Nephrology,
-Doctors of Medicine (DE) who hold the DESC in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery or the DES in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery,
-Doctors of Medicine (DE) who hold the DES in Internal Medicine,
-Geriatricians.
By way of an individually granted exemption, a physician specializing in another field may be authorized to pursue the DIU based on a specific professional background and as part of a departmental project (including for PADHUE programs).
For exemption requests:
Candidates must submit a detailed personal career plan as well as the departmental project proposal. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
