Presentation
The PeiP (POLYTECH engineering school program) is aimed at high school graduates with a science background who wish to enroll in an engineering program immediately after graduation. It is a two-year preparatory program during which students receive a general education that allows them to then enroll in an "engineering program" at any of the 15 schools in the POLYTECH network. The 15 schools in the POLYTECH network are all public schools under the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and award engineering degrees recognized by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI), the only body in France authorized to evaluate engineering programs. In Montpellier, the PEIP A, B, and C programs are offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier.
The advantages of the training program
A SAFE JOURNEY AND A WIDE RANGE OF CHOICES
Once they have validated their PeiP A (STI) or B (BIO), students are guaranteed a place on an engineering program within the POLYTECH network. They will have direct access and the right to choose from over 100 engineering specializations at the 15 schools in the POLYTECH network. The final assignment will be based on the student's preferences and their national ranking. They may apply to other engineering schools. They may use the credits earned in PeiP to continue their studies in another L3-level program.
Objectives
- National recruitment for a national network.
- A general education program in a bachelor's degree or technical college program.
- Specific lessons and individual or group support (tutoring, assistance) from engineering students and the teaching staff.
- An introduction to the industrial world: knowledge of the company, presentations by professionals, internships in France and abroad.
A TRAINING PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FACULTY OF SCIENCES OF MONTPELLIER
A multidisciplinary scientific and technical foundation is taught jointly with the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier through a program designed for PeiP students. Specific engineering courses and modern language classes are taught by the POLYTECH Montpellier school. COURSE A (STI) Course A (engineering sciences and techniques) gives access to all engineering specializations in the POLYTECH network, except for "Biological Engineering – Biotechnology" in Marseille and "Biological Engineering" in Nice. PATHWAY B (BIO) Pathway B (biology) gives access to 14 engineering specializations within the network, focusing on biological engineering, agri-food, and the environment.
During the first year of PeiP, students complete a series of nine practical assignments illustrating applications or techniques related to the engineering specialties offered by POLYTECH
Montpellier.
In their second year of PeiP, students carry out a research and development project. This involves a study and research project carried out in pairs, linked to an industrial issue in one of the school's engineering specializations.
In the second year of PeiP, students also complete a work experience placement lasting at least four weeks. Students find their own placement, with support from the school's Industrial Relations or International Relations departments if necessary.

Program
Are you in your final year of high school or will you be graduating with a general baccalaureate in 2021? You can join one of the two PeiP (Polytech engineering school programs) in Montpellier, offered in partnership with the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Montpellier: PeiP A (STI) or PeiP B (BIO).
