Presentation
The Computer Science and Management trains engineers withdual skills, enabling them to take on positions of responsibility in companies in thedesign of information systems, the management of large IT projects, or the development of innovative technologies. The courses cover the fundamental aspects of computer science, mathematics, and management, and emphasize initiative and autonomy.
The advantages of the training program
Project-based learning
From the very first year, students are challenged to work in project teams (software, databases, websites or web applications, technological innovation, socio-technical controversies, etc.), both within the school and with our industry partners.
Objectives
Acquire and consolidate the theoretical foundations essential to engineers and fundamental to the fields of computer science and management.
Fundamental instruction in computer science, applied mathematics, and management, linked to discovering the professional world.
Know-how and skills
Upon graduating from school, the IG engineering student:
- has acquired a solid scientific foundation in computer science, decision mathematics, statistics, and project management methodology;
- has a good understanding of the company's business lines and management issues;
- is capable of leading an IT project from conception to production;
- is aware of team management, sustainable development and social responsibility issues, as well as business creation.
He is qualified to perform the following duties:
- Computer systems designer and architect
- IT project manager
- Web and mobile designer-developer
- Information systems consultant
- Functional Analyst
- Database expert
- Information systems auditor
- R&D Engineer
Organization
Internships, supervised projects
Internship | Mandatory |
|---|---|
Internship abroad | Possible |
Internships punctuate the three years spent at the school:
- Discovery internship in a company at the end ofthe thirdyear during the summer (minimum one month) to discover the professional world.
- Internships
- Thefourthyear concludes with an engineering student internship, carried out during the summer (minimum two months) within a company.
- Intheir fifthyear, after completing the industrial project, students undertake an engineering internship (minimum five months) in a company in France or abroad.
-
In5thgrade, students with a suitable profile can:
- complete a 12-month professional training contract within a company. The professional contract includes the completion of an industrial project and an internship within a company.
- pursue a professional master's degree or a research master's degree in parallel with their studies at Polytech, within certain partner university departments (AES at the University of Montpellier).
Inthe fourthandfifthyears, they carry out an industrial project (300 hours) that places them in a professional situation and allows them to develop their independence.
