Know-how and skills

Upon graduation, the EGC :

- Has acquired a solid scientific foundation (mathematics, computer science) and English language certification;

- Master the technical knowledge of water and civil engineering, essential for the design, sizing, construction, operation and maintenance of major hydraulic structures, in the service of urban and regional development;

- Is capable of managing the human and economic aspects of a hydraulic engineering project, from design to delivery.

He is qualified to perform the following functions:

- Works engineer / studies and design / operations

- Project manager

- Project management assistant

- Project manager / agency / company.

Special features

SCHEDULE

- Start date: early October.

- Length of training: 3 years.

- 71 weeks at school + 85 weeks on the job (including paid vacations).

- Alternating school and company :

10 weeks / 4 weeks in1st year (3 periods at school)
8 weeks / 9 weeks in2nd year (3 periods at school)
8 weeks / 20 weeks in3rd year (2 periods at school)

BUSINESS UNITS

On-the-job training is the responsibility of an industrial tutor, the apprentice master, and monitored by an educational tutor, the teacher. It is organized around five vocational units:

- corporate knowledge (UP1) -1st year

- technical environment (UP2) -1st year

- scientific and/or technological application (UP3) -2nd year

- business management (UP4) -2nd year

- end-of-studies industrial project (UP5) -3rd year

Admission

Access conditions

- Be over the age limit when signing an apprenticeship contract (according to current regulations).

- Hold a Bac+2 (L2, DUT, BTS, CPGE, PeiP...) in science and technology.

- To be eligible for the competition, you must submit a portfolio and attend an interview.

- After signing an apprenticeship contract.

Apprentices are paid between 41% and 78% of the minimum wage.
